Geronimo — Identity

Identity

2009

An award-winning food led pub group with seventeen sites across London, the Home Counties, St Pancras and Heathrow Terminals One, Three and Five. Geronimo was looking to expand further thus required a brand-overhaul to strengthen its branding across all the pubs. It was vital to develop a brand system that did not make the pubs look like part of a chain because Geronimo pubs are famous for their own unique individual characteristic, great food and atmosphere. Therefore, a branding system based on similar principles to a Royal Warrant was created, which enable Geronimo pubs to keep their individual looks, where the new brand identity was applied as a secondary marque to endorse the pub with Geronimo’s certification. It was also important to keep the British sense of humour, which the owners are famous for, so the Geronimo warrant included a pig drinking from a spilt barrel as well as accompanying playful Latin quotes, e.g. ‘Nemo saltat sobrius’ (No man dances sober).
